EAST CAPE-ACCURATE-JEN WREN-RANCHO LEONERO

Jack Nilsen of Accurate Fishing, Wayne, and Dave fished with Mark Rayor on his Vista Sea Sport boats. The two Jen Wren boats are the best charter boats available in the East Cape. Both the Jen Wrens are fully equipped with Accurate Reels, Accurate Rods and CalStar rods.

We stayed at John Irelands Rancho Leonero. " The Ranch " is the Accurate Fishing home in East Cape. The Ranch has wonderful accommodations which include sea view rooms with private patios. The Ranch offers a large fleet of fishing cruisers and pangas with expert captains who know East Cape.

Accurate Fishing tested some new gear including the Accurate / Halco trolling lures. The "Ratler" was a favorite for stripe marlin. We trolled them short inside of the Zuker pattern. We were amazed at how the the strippers were attracted to theAccurate / Halco " Ratler " troll lures. Maybe something they have not seen before. Mark Rayor says he will make these lures part of his standard troll pattern on his Vista Sea Sport Jen Wren boats.

QUALIFIER-105 & ACCURATE 4/27/2010

The annual Accurate & Qualifier 105 Long Range Charter departed the landing on April 27. Captain Joe Crisi headed us straight for the Hurricane Bank, an approximately 1000 mile 3 day run. The Bank was very alive with shark and yellowfin tuna. The shark population was very adept at intercepting our tuna bite before they could be landed on the deck of the boat. After 2 days we could take no more and Captain Joe headed us for the " buffer zone " around Clarion Island.

The fishing at the Clarion Buffer Zone was absolutely excellent. The sharks still intercepted some but it was very fishable on drift fishing.

This was a " ride down, fly back " trip, with several passengers opting to take the ride back option.

Jack Nilsen was Charter Host on this annual trip. Accurate brought approximately $75,000.00 in reels, rods and super braid line for anglers to use throughout the trip, free of charge. Several anglers won Accurate Reels in Daily Derby competitons.

Our great friend Del Marsh landed a 274 YFT by way of his friend Scooter Silverman. Scooter

borrowed a Del Marsh Accurate ATD50 to help Del fish on with his friends.
