The Lynn Rose East Cape Classic went off on schedule despite the threats of Hurricane Rick. The Classic fished three days from Thursday 10/22 to Saturday 10/24. The hurricane and weather gave us a break and the Sea of Cortez offered up perfect weather and plenty of fish to catch.
The Accurate Team of George, Wayne and Jack fished on the 35 foot Cabo Express, Jen Wren - Torrance, that was provided by Mark Rayor of Vista Seasport. Both the Jen Wren, Vista Seasport, boats are outfitted with Accurate Reels and Accurate and Calstar rods.
The Lynn Rose Classic is an annual charity tournament that raises funds for children’s issues in the small community of Los Barilles. The tournament is held each year in October at the wonderful resort of Palmas De Cortez.
We missed our friend Del Marsh this year. Del was a long time participant in the tournament as part of the Accurate Team. There were lot of Del Marsh stories recounted at Room 12, Accurate Party Central.
